Morning Green “Lemonade” Juice!

I’ve realised I’m a morning person. This seems to be fairly rare and people don’t really like morning time.

My question for you would be how are you starting your day? Recently I started making this Green Juice (which tastes ridiculously like lemonade) and I have more energy but more importantly, because juicing is digested instantly, your hunger disappears – instantly. It also keeps me full until lunch.

I believe that fruit should be eaten on an empty stomach because it digests so quickly if you eat it with anything else then the digestion process is delayed causing the fruit to ferment in your stomach and reducing its nutritional value. For me this means the best time to have it is breakfast, if the juice doesn’t fill you up or you don’t have a juicer, it would be the perfect time to have some tasty fruit as well to keep you going (I recommend blueberries!).

You do not taste ANY of the greens in this because the lemon, ginger and apple are way too overpowering, sneakin’ goodness into your system since 1995. Obviously feel free to experiment with the amount of greens and swap things out – let me know how it goes!

Green “Lemonade” Juice

Ingredients:

  • Lettuce (literally as much as I can spare)
  • Cabbage (literally as much as I can spare)
  • Spinach (couple handfuls)
  • Kale (again handful or two)
  • 1 Stick of Celery
  • 2 Apples
  • Chunk of ginger (I like a lot)
  • 1 lemon (depending on your juicer you may need to remove the peel, for mine I do)

Juice and enjoy. It’s pretty, pretty good.
